In October 2023, my classmates and I traveled to Berlin for an exciting school project. Over the course of a week, we had the unique opportunity to create a documentary titled “Von Köpenick in die Championsleague.”

The focus of our film was the Bundesliga team 1. FC Union Berlin. We explored how the club has evolved after its remarkable successes over the last five years. What has changed, both on and off the pitch? This was the central question we investigated as part of our student project.

Following the team closely during this time gave us incredible insights into the culture of the club and its rise to international fame. It was an intense and inspiring week that combined creativity, teamwork, and a passion for storytelling.

This experience not only deepened our understanding of filmmaking but also gave us a unique glimpse into the world of professional football, all while capturing the essence of Union Berlin’s incredible journey.
